The current COVID-19 situation does not have an impact on OMPT operations. This includes the time it takes to check and grade your exams.
Redirect university and college applicants with a math deficiency to OMPT. Our tests are most often taken by international undergraduate applicants, applicants with an insufficient background in mathematics, or applicants who hold a diploma of which it is unsure how it relates to the domestic curriculum.
Give every student a fair chance of enrolment. Tests can be taken when and where a student wants within your application window.
Lower the failure rate of your first year math courses by ensuring that every student starts at the same level. This allows for a smooth start of the academic year.
Identify a clear baseline for international applicants. Ensure that each applicant takes the same math test, no matter their origin and background.
Scores are given per topic, allowing for clear insights into the capabilities of applicants.
You’re in control of minimum passing grade requirements, even per topic. You can also decide how many attempts a student takes, and if they can have access to practice material and mock exams.
OMPT takes care of all organisation, checking, grading, hosting and support. This saves universities and colleges much needed time and resources. All you need to do is redirect those who require to take it.
You can verify which test your program requires during the registration process

OMPT is not just an admissions test. Students can purchase access to personalised learning modules to help refresh key concepts, as well as a fitting mock exam, before they take the Online Mathematics Placement Test. On average, students who spend time with the learning materials receive a 76% score on their first attempt, as opposed to the 40% score of students who don’t practice.
Students can take the test online at their convenience, choosing both time and location. To make sure there’s no cheating, tests are remotely proctored.Students will be guided by a real person during the set-up. They are asked to show their ID and room before the test starts, and are monitored by their webcam and microphone during the entire exam. Screen activities are also recorded. These recordings are checked for fraud both automatically through a sophisticated algorithm, and manually within 24 hours.
Admission & international offices who participate will receive a certificate with the student’s test results. They can decide their own minimum passing grade and the window in which students can take the test.OMPT will provide universities with their own online portal, where they can find more detailed information on every student such as score breakdown on topic, number attempts, score per attempt. This way, universities can easily verify students’ score.
If students do not pass the test, they can re-take the test a maximum of 2 times (unless the university states otherwise). Resit attempts have to be purchased separately. Certificates state the amount of test attempts.
OMPT offers various pricing options for students. Learn more at our detailed pricing table.

Absolutely nothing! The only thing universities have to do is redirect relevant applicants to OMPT. We do like to know which programs are accepting which OMPT test, so we can create a straightforward registration flow that can smoothly guide your applicants through the process. We’ll then also provide you with access to our certifications and results portal.
